Ellen DeGeneres - Actress

Ellen DeGeneres is a American standup comedian, television host and actress. She hosts the association talk show The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and was also a judge on American Idol for one year, having attached the show in its ninth season. DeGeneres has hosted together the Academy Awards and the Primetime Emmys. As a film actress, she starred in Mr. Wrong, appears in EDtv and The Love Letter, and provided the voice of Dory in the Disney-Pixar animated film Finding Nemo, for which she was reward a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress, the first and only time a voice performance won a Saturn Award.

She was starred in two television sitcoms, Ellen from 1994 to 1998 and The Ellen Show from 2001 to 2002. During the fourth season of Ellenin 1997, Degeneres came out openly as a lesbian in an appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Shortly afterwards, her character Ellen Morgan also came out to a psychoanalyst played by Winfrey, and the series went on to explore various LGBT issues including the coming out process. Television and film work in the late 1980s and early on 1990s included role on television in Open House and in the film Coneheads. In 2007, Forbes predictable DeGeneres' net worth at US$65 million. She has won twelve Emmys and numerous other awards for her job and charitable efforts.

Nancy Fleming

http://the-american-history.blogspot.com/Nancy Anne Fleming succeeds the Miss America crown in 1961. A native of Montague, Michigan, Fleming contend in the Miss America pageant as Miss Michigan. She competed in Miss Michigan as Miss White Lake. She presently worked in the entertainment industry, as a program host and interviewer for ABC-TV, Cable Health Network and PBS. In 1978 she was married radio and television personality, Jim Lange. More recently Fleming has employee as a gardener and television interviewer. In 2004 she volunteered for Howard Dean's attempted proposal for president and has remained involved with politics as a huge donor for the United States Democratic Party. Recently retired from a successful career as a program host and interviewer for ABC-TV, Cable Health Network and PBS, Nancy remains lively with community and political volunteer activities. In training for a vacation in Italy, Nancy began studying Italian language, history and culture.

Mary Ann Mobley

http://the-american-history.blogspot.com/Mary Ann Mobley was former Miss America, actress, and television personality. She wedded actor Gary Collins in 1967. Their daughter, Mary Clancy Collins, is a superior Vice President with MGM Television. After helping her reign as Miss America 1959, Mobley embarked on what has been a long career in both film and television. She has been active in many generous causes and was awarded the Outstanding Young Woman of the Year Award in 1966 by Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson. Mobley appeared in many movies, and on such television shows as Fantasy Island, Custer, Mission: Impossible and The Love Boat. She landed a chronic role on the show Falcon Crest and played Maggie McKinney/Drummond in Different caress during the series' final season, replacing Dixie Carter. Mobley was an infrequent panelist on Match Game in the 1970s and appeared on Super Password with Collins during the 1980s. Coincidentally, Mobley once show as a guest star on Designing Women, which starred Dixie Carter.

Marjorie Vincent

Marjorie Judith Vincent is a former reporter and beauty contestant who was crowned Miss America 1991. Vincent's parents, Lucien and Florence Vincent of Cap-Haïtien, Haiti migrate to the United States in the early on 1960s; Marjorie was only the first of their children to be born in America. After two unsuccessful pageant tries, at Miss North Carolina and Miss Illinois, she won Miss Illinois, permit her to advance to Miss America. Vincent, who already had three years in law school at Duke University before becoming Miss America, return to Duke, but left four credit-hours shy of graduation, and altered her goal from international law to television journalism, becoming a news secure at WGBC in Meridian, Mississippi in October 1993. She later on worked at WHOI in Peoria, Illinois, and the Ohio News Network in Columbus, Ohio, for the next six-plus years.
