Phyllis George

Phyllis Ann George Brown is an American businesswoman, actress and a former sportscaster. She is one of a former Miss Texas and Miss America of 1971. CBS Sports producers come up to George to become a sportscaster in 1974. The following year, she joined the cast of The NFL today, co-hosting live pregame explain before National Football League (NFL) games. She was one of the first females to have a nationally famous role in television sports coverage. Another duty George had with CBS Sports was operational on horse racing events, including the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. In 1985, CBS settled on Phyllis George to supply as a permanent anchor for their morning news program. George was given a three-year contract following a two-week trial run. As co-anchor, she interviewed newsmakers with the First Lady Nancy Reagan.

Jane Anne Jayroe

Jayne Anne Jayroe-Gamble was an American beauty queen from Laverne, Oklahoma, who was Miss America 1967 and Miss Oklahoma in 1966. Jayroe worked in the news industry for several years until Governor of Oklahoma Frank Keating appointed her to serve as his Secretary of Tourism and activity in his Cabinet. She served in that position from 1999 until 2003. Jane became a well-known and respected primetime news anchor for KOCO and KTVY in Oklahoma City and KXAS in Dallas/Fort Worth. She won several awards during her 16-year job including the first female to be awarded “Outstanding News Personality” in the Dallas-Fort Worth television market. She also hosted a health associated public affairs show, "Health Matters" on Oklahoma's PBS network, OETA. Jayroe later went on to co-host a popular television show, Discover Oklahoma encourage tourism within the state of Oklahoma. In 1992, Jayroe become the first representative for the Oklahoma Health Center and Vice President of the Presbyterian Health Foundation.

Evelyn Ay Sempier

Evelyn Margaret Ay Sempier was won Miss America beauty pageant in 1954. She had a short but successful career in minor beauty contests. As Miss Ephrata Fair and Tobacco Queen of Lancaster County in 1950, she wore a circlet that looked like tobacco leaves. After graduate from Ephrata High School in 1951, she wins the titles of Miss Pennsylvania AMVET and the Miss National AMVET in 1952, as well as the Miss Pennsylvania title in 1953. Sempier was chosen Miss America at the last year before the pageant was televised. In a 1993 interview, "Evvy" said she was astonished at her victories. "That was the ultimate role model, similar to being Doris Day in real life." She embarked on her career as a favor to a friend who was trying to endorse a pageant. She traveled 270,000 miles her yearlong reign, and remained active with the pageant for a lot of years, judging many local pageants and the national Miss America contest in 1981.

Lee Meriwether

Lee Ann Meriwether is an American actress, former model, and the victor of the 1955 Miss America pageat. She was a "Today Girl" on NBC's The Today Show in . She made a cameo form as Dr. Egert on the TV series Man from UNCLE in a 1965 episode called "The Mad, Mad Tea Party." Her quality film debut came in 1959 as Linda Davis in 4D Man, starring Robert Lansing. She is possibly best known for her roles as Betty Jones, the crime-solving partner in the long-running 1970s crime drama, Barnaby Jones. The role earns her two Golden Globe Award nominations in 1975 and 1976, and an Emmy Award nomination in 1977. She is also known for her position as John Schuck's long-haired wife, Lily Munster, in the popular 1990s sitcom The Munsters Today, as well as for her depiction of Catwoman in the 1966 film version of Batman. Meriwether at present has a recurring role as Ruth Martin on the daytime soap opera All My Children.
